Two oboes and piano
A dark, enigmatic tune originally designed for electronic instruments and later adapted for two oboes and piano, this piece was inadvertently named by my dad who wrote an e-mail titled "Winter Rain." That image perfectly captured the song's mood and an appropriate title was born. The original version begins with bells and xylophones, continues with a violin, and then switches to the major form of the opening minor melody. Like winter it is somber and reflective; like rain it is renewing and uplifting.
